The University Science Park focuses on scientific approach to problem solving applied in practice, intending to utilize and integrate the knowledge and experience of experts active in the practice.

It is also involved in applied research of information and communication technologies - focuses on support of the main research goals of University Science Park in Zilina. The researched subjects include sensor networks and processing of uncertain information, processing of audiovisual information as well as research of knowledge technologies and decision support.
